Hack - Reveal Hidden Password From Your Browser

Hi Guys , I am gonna show you guys how to do a simple hack to reveal hidden passwords under asterisks and dots.All browsers convert the password characters you typed into asterisks or dots so that others behind you cannot see what you are typing.

There may be a situation were you need to see your password (like forget your password).Try this steps that are too easy and simple that anybody can try it.


Here i am going to use Google account and Mozilla Firefox 

STEP 1: Right click on the password box and then click Inspect Element


STEP 2:Then a box with Inspected code can be seen bottom of the screen.In that Focus on the Highlighted code.

STEP 3: In this code check for type="password", Double Click on it and the rename the word 'password' to 'text'.


STEP 4: See the picture below,here the type is changed to 'text'.


STEP 5: Now you can see the revealed password .

Similarly you can do in any browsers like Internet Explorer,Google Chrome etc.This will be handy when you save your password in browser and forgot the password ,Then try using this trick.

There are many software's to reveal password from asterisks:

Asterisk Logger: This utility can reveal the passwords stored behind the asterisks in standard password text-boxes. This only works on Windows NT/2000/XP and on Firefox Browser.

BulletsPassView: BulletsPassView is a password recovery tool that reveals the passwords stored behind the bullets in the standard password text-box of Windows operating system and Internet Explorer Web browser. After revealing the passwords, you can easily copy them to the clipboard or save them into text/html/csv/xml file.

Password Viewer: Password Viewer is a Windows utility that allows you to view password fields. It enables to you to peek the password not only at the password edit boxes on different programs, but also the password input field data on a page inside Internet Explorer window ( Win2000 and later ).
